Triple M Housing modular homes are built using 2x6 exterior wall construction. Site built homes are typically built with 2x4 walls and during construction are open to wet weather that can cause wood to warp or swell, leading to a lifetime of structural problems.

 Due to additional insulation, and superior building practices, a Triple M modular home is significantly more energy efficient. This will save energy and money for years to come.

Building in a factory setting reduces the threat of job-site theft and damage. These are problems that have plagued site home builders in recent years and can add as much as 10% to the cost of your new home.

Triple M Housing skilled craftsmen are permanently employed. This significantly decreases delays in construction caused by an inexperienced and unreliable workforce.

To insure a secure trip to your home site, modular homes are built with 20 to 30% more framing lumber. Adhesives, as well as screws and strapping, are used in fastening components together - this creates a sturdier structure, reducing or even eliminating "nail pops" commonly experienced in other homes.

Triple M offers an array of modular home designs that can fit within any type of municipal architectural guideline. Built to conform to local and national building codes, each home is built in modules at Triple M Housing's climate controlled factory, then shipped to your building lot, where each home is assembled by trained and certified staff.

What is a modular home?

Modular homes are built in sections in a factory setting, indoors, where they are never subjected to adverse weather conditions. The sections move through the factory, with the company's quality control department checking them after every step. Finished modules are covered for protection, then transported to your home site. They are placed on a pre-made foundation, joined, and completed by your local Triple M retailer or builder.

How long does it take to build a modular home?

That depends on your design, but some modular homes can be built in our factory in as little as 1-2 weeks. And, since modulars are built indoors, there's never a weather delay. It usually takes another 2-4 weeks for the retailer or builder to complete the home once it's delivered to the building site.

Don't all modular homes look alike?

No, and unless you were there to see the house delivered and assembled, you might not guess it's a modular home. Triple M Housing uses computer aided design programs to draw plans to your specifications, or to modify one of their standard plans to suit your needs, so nearly any home plan can be turned into a modular home.
It's true that some modulars can be basic and resemble double wide manufactured homes, but the two structures are still built in different ways.

Will banks finance a modular home?

Yes. Banks, Appraisers, and Insurance Companies treat modular homes the same way they do site built homes--a house that's constructed entirely on your property. Ask the mortgage brokers and banks in your area to explain how they finance modular homes.

Can I save money by building a modular home?

Construction costs for a modular home are sometimes less per square foot than for a similar site-built home. And, there are other cost-saving features:
o Many modular homes are very energy efficient, which helps reduce your heating and cooling costs.
o Your home will probably be ready to move into much sooner than if you wait for a builder to construct a house on-site.

Does a factory built modular homes have a warranty?

Most factory home builders will warranty their product. Every Triple M home is backed by a comprehensive 10 year warranty. Ask your Triple M retailer or builder for terms and conditions of our warranty.
